Prize Bonds

Each Prize Bond purchased is allocated a bond number. Your investment holds its original value and instead of earning interest on your savings, Prize Bonds are entered into a weekly draw with a chance to win cash prizes.

Security

When you save with State Savings you are placing your money directly with the Irish Government. State Savings Prize Bonds savings are 100% protected by the State.

Flexible

Prize Bonds can be held indefinitely with no expiry date. You can cash in your investment fully or partially at any time after the minimum holding period of 90 days and you can have the funds paid directly to your Bank Account within 7 working days. 
Choose to make a once off purchase, regular purchases or set up a monthly Direct Debit.

No fees or charges

No quarterly fees, commissions or transaction charges for any State Savings transactions.

Easy to buy

Prize Bonds are sold in ‘units’ valued at €6.25 each. Choose to buy online, by monthly Direct Debit, in Post Offices, by Post or over the phone. You can invest as little as €25 (4 Prize Bonds) up to maximum €250,000 (40,000 Prize Bonds) per individual or €500,000 (80,000 Prize Bonds) jointly.

Prizes

Each Prize Bond is in with a chance to win €500,000 each month and up to €50,000 in all weekly draws or thousands of other weekly cash prizes. Choose to have your prizes paid directly into your Bank Account or automatically reinvested into new Prize Bonds.
Draw Results are published online after the weekly draw. Check your Bond Numbers for winnings at any time here or register for State Savings Online for prize notifications and quick, easy access to your prize information.
