I get an error when I try to register for State Savings Online?

To be eligible to register for State Savings Online, applicant must:

  • be an existing customer who has purchased a State Savings product** since 5th October 2014, or know your State Savings Customer Number (SSCN)

  • hold (or have previously held) at least one of the following products: National Solidarity Bond, Savings Certificates, Savings Bonds, Instalment Savings, Childcare Plus or Prize Bonds

  • read and Accept all Terms and Conditions

  • be at least 18 years old

  • provide your email address, mobile phone number and either your PPSN or SSCN

**Book Based Deposit Accounts (POSB), Statement Based Deposit Accounts are not available in State Savings Online. See products which can be managed online.

Existing State Savings Customers

If you have purchased a State Savings Product after 5th October 2014 and your details cannot be matched when you attempt to register for the State Savings Online service, please contact our State Savings Team at 0818 20 50 60 / 01 705 7200 and we will assist you. 
 
Alternatively,  you may complete an Application Form to purchase a product and present it at any Post Office or send it to State Savings, GPO, FREEPOST, Dublin 1, D01 F5P2, with the required documentation and payment.  Once the new product application is processed you will be eligible to register for State Savings Online.

New State Savings Customers

If you are new to State Savings and do not own or have not previously owned any State Savings Products, complete an Application Form for your chosen product, including your email address and mobile phone number on the application form, and present it at any Post Office or send it to State Savings, GPO, FREEPOST, Dublin 1, D01 F5P2, with the required documentation and payment. On completion of your purchase (sole holding) you, may receive:

  1. A Welcome letter to your registered address containing a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

  2. You will use this PIN together with your email address and mobile phone number to register for State Savings Online.

Follow the steps on your Welcome letter to register for State Savings Online and sign in for the first time.

I am a new State Savings Customer having recently purchased State Savings Product(s) by completing an application form at the Post Office

If you are a new State Savings Customer having recently purchased your first State Savings Product (sole holding) by completing an Application Form together with your proof documentation at the Post Office, and you included your email address and mobile phone number on the application form, you may receive:

  1. A Welcome letter to your registered address containing a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

  2. You will use this PIN together with your email address and mobile phone number to register for State Savings Online.

Follow the steps on your Welcome letter to register for State Savings Online and sign in for the first time.
